Farside Components Cyclic stem. The 45mm stem length was designed to be close to the average mtb fork offset. We found that having your stem length close to your fork offset delivers the best steering feel on the trail.
A bold, beautiful stem built for rugged terrain. Every curve of its shape is made with purpose. Available in one length, with a 35mm clamp, it's a focused tool for aggressive mountain biking. The Cyclic is fitted with Grade5 Titanium M6 fasteners all around to ensure that your stem never has a rusty bolt as long as you own it.
The Cyclic is ISO certified, and exceeds additional “maximum overload” testing at the EFBE test lab in Germany.
Our products are manufactured in Victoria BC on Vancouver island. We are under the same roof as Islander Precision Fishing reels which has been manufacturing industry leading reels for 30 years. Farside components was started by an islander machinist that wanted to apply the islander ethos to mountain bike components.

- Torque: 7nm max for all fasteners, refer to the handlebar manufacturers max torque for the faceplate bolts. Leave an equal gap between the top and bottom of the faceplate and the stem body during installation.
A word about finishes:
The raw, polished stem has no protective coating. It will lose its lustre over time, and will be more prone to scratching and scuffing. However, the mirror shine that's achieved is unmatched by any coating or treatment. The finish can be revived with a little elbow grease and a polishing cloth.
The rest of our stems are anodized type II cosmetic. Anodizing offers a hard protective finish that can be dyed an array of colours, and protects the material from cosmetic damage.
